Get Rid of It!

–Aisha Adams

In our lives we have all done, or will do, some “spring cleaning”. It may be once a year, once a month, or even once a day. We all have had the opportunity to get rid of something.

Now when you think of getting rid of something, what is the first thing that comes to mind? The #1 answer may be old clothes, whether too small, outdated or even too big.

Some of us want to hang on to those things, and it doesn’t do anything for us but COLLECT DUST!

Well I’m not talking about clothes in this case. I am referring to one particular thing:

Negative People – Most of the time they don’t realize they are hurting you, but I’m sad to say that some do know. Negative people try to suck the life out of you and pull you down to their level of acting and thinking.

They distract you, interrupt you, and try to hold you back from fulfilling your destiny. They even try to belittle and criticize you, become jealous of you and try to ruin your reputation. This is why you have to watch the company you keep, and stay clear of a negative atmosphere.

Negative Habits – Becoming complacent and lazy with a “don’t care” attitude can take over your life, if you continue to have that mindset. Negative habits can cause you to stop growing and producing results: it can paralyze your thought process.

It can stop you from doing what you need to do to rise. Negativity stunts your growth both mentally and spiritually.

So in order to accomplish, achieve, finish, conquer, prosper, fulfill, succeed, help, empower, encourage, and inspire you must to one thing:

Walk with the wise and become wise; hand with fools and they will get you into trouble – Proverbs 13:20

This article enlightened my eyes to see what to avoid. The Word of God says Bless is the Man that walk not in the counsel of negative people( Psalm 1:1). Author Aisha is a great inspirational writer. Look forward to read more of her articles.

Praise God My Sista! The bible talks about us as a people will perish from lack of knowledge. This article is an eye opener for some & for others like Charles said, enlightened’s us to avoid those kind of people but to pray for them. Most of all this article opened my eyes about being complacent, how it can stunt your growth. It’s okay to be content with God has allowed us to have but not to become complacent. Thanking God for the wisdom He has giving you that u share with His people. Thank you my Sista!!!
